Below is a typical display of the AquaNotes root window.

AquaNotes Full Screen

The status window shown below is automatically updated to give a continual display of the conditions in the tank as well as the state of all the controlled devices. From this window you can force a controlled device to an on/off state or place it in automatic mode.

The configuration and programming of the AquaController may be modified with AquaNotes. The editor window allows for the program and timer names section to be easily changed. Below is an example of the program configuration editor window.

The seasonal temperature, and sunrise/sunset table can be configured to custom values by using the seasonal table editor window. Simply enter the desire longitude and latitude that you wish your tank to simulate, and the sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset values are automatically computed.

The communications setup screen allows for the physical connection between the AquaController and PC to be specified. This setup window also allows for the modem parameters to be set for both pager support and remote dial-in access.

The database windows allow for the manual entry and review of all types of data pertinent to maintaining aquarium systems. The tank database entry form shown below is divided into three sections. The first, Conditions, allows for the manual entry, display, and editing of temperature, pH, ORP, Alkalinity, calcium, specific gravity, dissolved oxygen, copper, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and a user defined parameter. Of course temperature, pH, and ORP are automatically retrieved from the AquaController and entered into the database. The second tab, Notes, allows for general observational data and notes to be entered for each tank in the database. The inhabitants tab contains a list of the fish/corals that are in the selected tank.

The two other database windows (not shown) allow for species information and fish entries to be entered into the AquaNotes database. The species window has text boxes in which the description, distribution, size, etc. information can be entered.

The fish database window allows for either either fish or corals to be added to the database. For each fish in the database, notes of any length may be entered at any time. Also for each fish in the database you can enter a log of which tanks that fish has been in.

The size of database is only limited by the amount of disk storage on your PC. There is no practical limit to the number of tanks, fish, or species that can be supported by AquaNotes.

The reports section of AquaNotes allows reports of the database to be sent to either the display, printer, or a file. The reports supported include: Fish Notes/Comments Report, Fish Tank Log Report, Tank Fish Log Report, Tank Conditions Report, Tank Notes Report, and a Species Report. Multiple file output formats are supported so that the database information may be imported into another application. The graphic below shows a Tank Conditions Report which was output to the display.
